When promoting someone from the role of individual contributor or competent team member to a role of manager or leader of others, it is essential to identify the necessary skills for this individual to be successful in this new role.  Being a leader involves developing a new set of skills.  However, many organizations place an individual in the challenging role of a manager or leader without giving them the proper support to be successful.  Some organizations have a Leadership Development Program, but still are not able to achieve their envisioned results.

The goal of this session is to help participants develop the tools for creating a Leadership Development Program for their organization, or to help others re-assess the Development Program they already have in place. 

At the end of this session participants will apply the three phases for creating a customized and impactful leadership Development Program.  The three phases are:

1. Creation Phase – Developing Competencies
2. Implementation Phase – Curriculum Delivery Methods
3. Accountability Phase – developing a process for incorporating the learning into their role as leaders.
